What Would You Do? Why?

Make your choice, advernturous Stranger,
Strike the bell, and bide* the danger,
Or wonder, till it drives you mad,
What would have followed if you had.

(*risk)

So, what would you have done if you had the same opportunity?  I, like Polly, wouldn't even give it a second thought.  It seems wrong and risky....I wouldn't do it.  The creepyness of the whole place would be an influence, too. How could anything good come of ringing that bell.

What about you?????

  1. I would do it but very cautiously. I like danger and excitement. But, I am not like digory who thinks about nothing before jumping into things

  2. I wouldn't do it. I would give myself a concussion to stop wondering what would happen

  3. I am sort of a Digory/Polly hybrid or mix

    1. I'm like Polly with a hint of Digory, because Digory is too adventurous/risky. Though if I was Polly I would still wonder if they hadn't rang the bell.

  4. I would ring the bell, then try to ignore whatever it causes and run for the door. If I made it out, I would put on my ring and get out of there. If I didn't make it out I would hope for the best outcome.

  7. Well, at first I thought I would do it just to get it off my mind. But then I thought, BIDE THE DANGER!!! THAT IS A RED FLAG!!! So I would go back to the Wood Between the Worlds hop into another pool and hope it takes me to a place of gumdrops and lollipops. If I still experience guilt for not ringing the bell, I would get hypnotized.

  8. I would do it but I would be very careful about ringing the bell hope nothing bad would happen. I would have a safety plan( like running or putting on my ring right away) Though if I heard how loud the bell was I would be astonished. Hope for the best. :)

  10. I would ring the bell and if something bad happens, I would run out and just scream my lungs out. Then I would put my yellow rings on. If that doesn't work, I would run around the abandon place and just scream...

  11. Digory is tooooooo risky for me. I remember when he wanted to jump into a new pool for another world visit. He didn't even think about the fact that he might never have found the pool to get back.

    Yeah Practical Polly.

    1. I think Polly is way too careful ! She should live out side her tiny tiny shell of fear

    2. Polly is always very cautious but in a good way because with out polly they could have been stuck in the woods forever

  12. I would not because the evil looking people could come to life.

  16. I would, because It would drive me insane for the rest of my life if I didn't. But, I wouldn't be like diggory and recklessly ring the bell. I would be cautious about it. I'd ring the bell, then immediately run outside and peek in. Just to make sure if anything bad happened.

  22. I would't, and just go back to the wood and jump somewhere else!

  23. I would not! I might ring the bell, but then i would't try to run away. It's an enchantment, for heaven's sake! you can't just run away from a magic spell! It's either all or nothing. so I think mabye you should think long and hard before hitting the bell.

  24. My solution would be to have my hand almost in my pocket, then ring the bell. if the effects were good, i would stay and cautiously investigate. If the outcome was bad, i would shoot my hand into my pocket and *poof* id be back in the peaceful Wood Between the Worlds.

    1. What if you had no pockets at the moment or maybe the ring wouldn't work anyways

  25. I wouldn't do it, because hello? "bide the danger" doesn't sound welcoming or safe at all. And even if it does drive me mad, at least I know I still have my life.

  26. I think I'm like both Polly and Digory in a way. Just like Ellery, I would have my ring ready, I would ring the bell, if everything is fine I would investigate, but if there's danger and the ring doesn't work, well . . . I guess I'll survive.

  30. I would ring the bell because I like to do things that I wouldnt know what would follow. If anything bad happened I would just touch my yellow ring hoping it would work. By the way, its Tristan.

  33. If it turned out bad I would go back to the wood between the worlds. Then I would go jump into a pool that takes me to a land of rainbow sunshine. If that doesn't work I would touch my ring and repeat step 1 and 2
