  1. I thought it was cool seeing all the different flags, from different countries in the cafeteria. I also liked the library, and seeing the books that they had. If I went there, I would spend a whole day in that place! And the last place that I found very exciting was the greenhouses. I liked seeing all the different plants and we even got to smell the thyme and oregano! They smelled..... weird.

  2. The library was soooo cool. There were tons of books there. I really liked the greenhouse. There were plants and a few animals too. Thirdly, I liked the room with all the animals. I liked seeing how big or how small they were, and what colors they were.

  3. I really liked the game room and the easy accessibility to ping pong. Also I enjoyed the taxidermy room even though the thought of it creeped me out. While we were in the greenhouse I felt really weirded out with all the odd-looking plants in addition to how humid it was in there.

  4. When we went to Fresno City College, I enjoyed many things about it. One thing I really liked was hearing some of the college students talk about their lives and why they are at Fresno City. I also enjoyed the taxidermy room, because it was very interesting to see the animals without being scared of them attacking you. So, you could really look at them and all of their amazing features. Over all, the trip to Fresno City Collge was a great experiance and got me to thinking about a good plan for my future!

    2. I forgot to mention the taxidermy room! It was really fun to see the animals. I agree that it was nice hearing about the college students talk about why they are at FCC.

  5. At FCC, I loved seeing the library's ceiling. It looked so cool, like one of those ancient cathedrals in Italy. I also liked the greenhouse and the garden. The greenhouse reminded me of Professor Sprout's classroom in Harry Potter, which I used obsess over as a kid, so it was pretty cool. When we visited the garden, I loved looking at the planting section for the people in wheelchairs. It was so small!! I also liked smelling the oregano and the thyme. It was overall an amazing trip and I am considering going there for 2 years of college.

    1. Kate I very much agree with you on the fact that the library ceiling look somewhat like a cathedral somewhere in Europe. I thought the fact that the kids in wheelchairs could use the garden, too!

  6. At FFC I enjoyed going to the Library. Seeing all the books and quitness was really cool. I loved the archetecture of the buildings and the paintings on some of their celings. I liked the way they had real, live students who tlked to us about the honors programa nd their personal expierence. Most things I enjoyed VERY much but the only thing that creeped me out was the science museum. I was looking around when I looked into an animal's fake eye and nearly screamed. But, I really enjoyed the seashell display case with the cool stones and rocks.

    1. I also found the fake eyes on the animals creepy and the architecture of the library was beautiful. I liked it when they shared about the honors program and their experience, too.

    2. Grace, I found parts of the taxidermy museum creepy, too. It was mainly the bugs and animals in the jars, but once you got past that and saw the seashells and other things, it was a great experience!

  7. At Fresno City College, I liked the museum with all the animals like the tiger and lion although their fake eyes were very creepy. I will probably go to FCC for two years and then go to Fresno State or Fresno Pacific. I found it gross and interesting at the same time when the lady in the respiratory lab told us if you have cavities or don't brush your teeth, the germs can go through your blood stream and eat up or infect your heart arteries and you can die.

  8. At Fresno City Collage, I thought that it was really interesting that they had all sorts of flags hanging from the cafeteria, so that you could even find the flags from your heritage. My favorite place in FCC was the library. I loved the castle pictures on the ceiling and the whole architecture of it. I was also creped out when we went in the animal museum. I found it very sad that there were pickled and stuffed innocent animals in the museum, but also found it interesting to touch the bear and zebra fur!

    1. I agree with you, Natalie! The architecture was really interesting, with buildings from 1910! The courtyard was beautiful, and so were the arches and brick buildings!

  9. I had a great time at Fresno city college on Friday, because of how... Different it was. The best thing that Ms. Ullners group did was go to the science/ health part. I had a great time thee and the lady we talked to was very straight-forward. I liked looking at the "dead animal" museum as my second favorite. It was very cool to touch the bear and zebra fur as we walked out. The bison head scared the heck out of me. I even liked the bus ride. The bus we were on was my favorite kind, because it made a loud noise when we moved. I had a great time at Fresno city college.

  10. I thought FCC was great! It seemed like a great atmosphere for learning. I really appreciated how we got to talk to the students in the honors program. I also liked getting to see the school government. The greenhouse was very interesting and I loved all the exotic plants. I think my favorite place was the koi pond, where I had the chance to brush up on my turtle communication skills. The one and only thing that was a little weird was our tour guide's obsession with the word tight. I am almost sue he used it at least 20 times.

    1. I also appreciated getting to hear and talk to the honor students, I thought it was a great way to learn about the school. Plus I'm positive that the tour guide said "tight" multiple times(20+).

  11. I enjoyed Fresno City College because of how unique it was. I had absolutely no idea that not brushing your teeth could cause heart problems! I also really enjoyed the architecture of the library. Listening to the Honor Program students really seemed like the program changed their life, also 130 put of the 20,000 or so really seems special! I don't know how I could type this without mentioning the super cool animal museum! Even though I plan to go to Harvard, this would be a good backup for two years.

  12. I enjoyed FCC because of how interesting it was. I loved the museum that contained the fake but real animals. It was my favorite museum/sight/"class" out of the whole trip. The architecture of the library was phenomenal. It was so big and quiet. I also liked the Respiratory "class". Some people shared what they want to be when they grow up. The Honors program seemed real good ,too. Even though I plan to go to Cal Berkeley, this seems like a great starter school, that is only for two years( when in the Honors program).

  13. I enjoyed FCC because it was very interesting and I am thinking about going there for college. I liked the taxidermy room, especially the grizzly bear pelt, it was really soft and pretty. The library I absolutely LOVE because it had so many books and if you didn't have the money for the text books, you could check one out for a couple hours. I especially loved the greenhouse with its humid air, it smelled wonderful and it was really pretty with over a 100 plants. I loved the plant 'Silver Dust' because it seemed magical and really sparkly. I enjoyed going to what I hope is my future college for many reasons.

  14. I enjoyed visiting Fresno City. I liked the biology museum, it was cool seeing all the animal replicas. I also felt sad being in there surrounded by the dead animals. When we went into the library I was amazed by the number of books and the ceiling. The ceiling was beautiful. Also the talk in the health science building was really interesting. The lady talked about her job(respiratory therapist) and about how much money doctors make. It's a lot of money. I can't wait to go see UCLA!

  15. I enjoyed going to Fresno City. I thought that the museum of the DEAD animals was interesting, but once I got to the front of the museum where the door was.I saw BAMBI ;'(
It was sooooooooooo cool to see the HUGE library, so many books, so many students, and mostly so much space.
When we took the (not so long) trip or walk I liked when we went into the huge chamber where we got to see the nurse while she was taking to us. So FCC isn't just for people that didn't get accepted into a college, it's for the people that want a knowing of how college is going to be like. So that's why I liked going there!

  18. I really enjoyed out trip to Fresno City. The first thing I liked about was the library. It was very cool because of all of the books When I first walked in there, I was like Whoa! So much space and so many books. The second thing I enjoyed was the museum with all the animals. It was very interesting. I think I found it interesting because when I go to collage, I would like to study animal. Like being a veterinarian or something like that. The third thing I liked about Fresno City was the gym and the baseball field. It was huge. The outside of the gym was filled with trophies for almost every sport. The baseball field was well maintained and looked equally big as Chukchansi stadium. I would like to visit Fresno City again in the future. It seems like a very good school.

  19. I really enjoyed our tour at Fresno City Collage. I had three favorite parts of the tour, the garden/greenhouse, biology museum, and the honor student's speeches. At the garden/greenhouse I liked seeing the koi pond, although there weren't only fish there were turtles too. When we went to the biology museum I loved seeing al the different types of animals, but I had one thought that stayed in my mind the whole tilme we were there, all the animals were dead and stuffed. Last but not least, the honor students speeches were very informitive and kept me interested.

  20. I loved the taxidermy room. It was so cool seeing the animals as if they were alive. The only thing that was bad about it is we didn't get to touch anything. I'm not being immature or anything, but I really wanted to touch the tiger skin. Not so much seeing how it would feel, but how many people get to touch a tiger in their life? Anyways, the greenhouse was super cool. The humidity felt nice and I liked looking at all the plants. I liked the things that strongly resembled a tiny grove of trees. I love looking at flowers and plants so I was captivated by the green house. I loved the library. There was so many books! There was three libraries worth of books in one wing! It really caught my attention that law oriented students get their own section of the library. And the ceiling was beautiful. I am considering the Honors Program for college before I transfer somewhere else.

  21. i love the animal room with all the dead stuffed animals. Also liked the pond with the turtle. The lounge had cool games with lots to choose from. The only thing i didn't like my tour guide, he keep saying; that's tight, tighty, or that's sup cool.

  22. I loved our field trip to Fresno City Collage, it was very unique. I also loved the ceiling of the library with all the beautiful designs. I also loved the taxidermy room.I liked to see how big the animals were in real life. It was very cool to hear the students talk about the Honors Program. It was a very fun experience going to see Fresno City Collage.

  23. I really enjoyed the tour of FCC. The first reason was the taxidermist museum because of the rare animals they had there. The second reason was because of the library, it was huge (although Fresno States' is bigger) and contained a lot of books. I do agree with Brook S, about our tour guide being annoying by saying "It's tight" 22 times.

  24. Going to FCC was a great experience! The architecture was beautiful, from the gorgeous brick buildings from 1910 or the huge Library. Going to the museum was also really interesting, there were so many things I learned just by looking at the animals.but probably my favorite experience was going into the health science building. We learned how stressful it can be to be a doctor or nurse, but we also talked about what we wanted to have for a job. It was a great field trip, and I had a great time.

  25. Going to FCC was an awesome experience for me. I enjoyed learning about the Honor's Program and how a student needs a 3.5 GPA to get in. I saw a lot of crazy people at FCC. I saw some with crazy clothes and some with crazy hair. Some had both crazy hair and clothes. After seeing this, I know i do not want to dress or look like them. I learned that drugs can kill you by getting into your heart from the nurse who talked to us. I also learned I enjoyed walking past the Gary Soto museum because I got to go in there earlier this year to hear his talk. It felt good to know where I was on a field trip. Overall it was an enjoyable and informational trip.
